Scholarships

Education shouldn't depend on what your parents can afford.

Our scholarships cover tuition, books, uniform and a monthly mentorship hour — for as long as you stay in school. Two intake windows per year: March and September.

Eligibility

Who we support.

  • Kenyan citizen aged 8–24
  • Demonstrated financial need (household income < KSh 30,000/month)
  • Proven academic potential — top 30% of class or equivalent
  • Commitment to community service through the foundation's volunteer programme
  • Two reference letters (one academic, one community)

Our team verifies academic records, references and financial documentation.

Interview (in-person or online)

A short conversation with a panel that includes a current scholar.

Decision & onboarding

Successful applicants are paired with a mentor and receive their first term's funding.

We prioritise orphans and vulnerable children with strong academic potential. Use these checklists to confirm fit before applying.

Academic level

  • Primary school (Grade 4–8)
  • Junior secondary (Grade 9)
  • Senior secondary (Form 1–4)
  • TVET / vocational training
  • University / tertiary

OVC status (one or more)

  • Orphan (lost one or both parents)
  • Child living with chronically ill guardian
  • Child from a child-headed household
  • Child of a single, low-income parent
  • Child living with disability

Documentation needed

  • National ID or birth certificate
  • Latest school report card / transcript
  • Recommendation letter from head teacher
  • Guardian's payslip or chief's letter of income
  • Recent passport-size photograph
