Who can see your report

Reports are accessible only to the Director and designated administrators. General staff, programme officers and partners never see whistleblower submissions.

How it's protected

Submissions are stored on an encrypted database with row-level security. Anonymous reports do not record your name, email or phone.

How long we keep it

Reports are retained for up to 7 years for monitoring, evaluation and legal/audit purposes, then permanently deleted, unless required longer by law or an active investigation.

Your submission is governed by the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019. You may submit anonymously, if you do, we cannot follow up with you for clarification, but we will still investigate. The Foundation will not attempt to identify anonymous reporters. Reports made in bad faith or for personal gain may be referred to the appropriate authorities.

Your Protection

  • ✓ All reports are treated in the strictest confidence.
  • ✓ You may report anonymously, please include enough detail for us to investigate.
  • ✓ The Foundation will not retaliate against any person making a good-faith report.
  • ✓ Where appropriate, matters will be referred to the relevant authorities (EACC, DCI, ODPP).

  • Who was involved (names, titles, organisations, where known).
  • When and where it took place.
  • Any documents, photos, screenshots or other evidence.
  • Names of any witnesses.

If you are reporting an impersonation (e.g. someone soliciting donations claiming to represent the Foundation), please share screenshots, phone numbers and account details so we can act quickly.
